Ingalls Park Athletic and Social Club was chartered in 1946.   Ingalls Park A.C.  (IPAC) was founded to support boy’s baseball on Joliet’s East Side.  Baseball has been played on IPAC’s Pony League baseball field since the early 1930’s.  The earliest picture known is from the 1934 Ingalls Park baseball team.  Members of this team were some of IPAC’s founding members.  The initial club house was a garage at the end of Peale Street in the Ingalls Park neighborhood.  Later a club house was built next to the Pony League field.  Over time, the Colt League field was added across the street after land was donated by one of the club members.

The current clubhouse was completed in 1974 on the property adjacent to the Colt League baseball field.  The new clubhouse opened on New Year’s Eve 1975.  The old clubhouse next to the Pony League field was becoming expensive to maintain and was undersized for the increasing membership.  The new clubhouse features a bar for the club members and a banquet hall that is rented to the members and to the public.  A pavilion and picnic area was added in 1987.  The pavilion is considered one of the best pavilions in the Joliet area and is rented to the members and public.

Over 75 years later, IPAC is still committed to supporting the community and boy’s baseball.   Donations are made to local churches, we have supported benefits for local organizations, and we have partnered with other organizations to support local charity needs.  IPAC is committed to providing best in class service to IPAC’s members and customers.
